SOMETHING MY GIRLS MADE

My girls went thrift store shopping. They found this nail kit project and decided to get it for something to do. All the beautiful and wonderful snow they are getting - they needed something to do inside. It took 320 nails to make it. It came out really well I thought. I have never seen anything like this before. On the package it says it was from the 70's. LOL.........they wasn't on the earth then. But hey, I think they did a fantastic job and thought I would share it with you. So the top photo is the completed results..........

The below photo is all the nails hammered in they took a side ways photo. Isn't it cool.......
This was in the beginning when the just got the nails in and no paint yet. I was amazed at the ending results.

Girls, you did a fantastic job. You all going to go into the nail hammering design business!!!
I love you....................Mom

HE CAN COOK

Our friend Pauly has always told me and Jim he cooks and cooks good, well we celebrated Christmas with him on Christmas Eve Day. And man ole man, he can cook, so that is why I scrapbooked this page. Notice the little man in the upper right hand corner, it is something from Jolee's, he had tan mustache, eyebrows and hair, I just took a permanent marker and colored them black like Paul's. And the drill that he has in his other hand is what else Pauly does, handyman work. So how fitting was that for this page. This crock pot wonder he made was sauerkaut, polish sausage, kielbosa and italian sausage. Then he mixes alot of "special" ingredients in it and WAAA LAHH......it is something Dutch. He is 1/2 Dutch. I tasted everything, but the sauerkraut, not into that, sorry. But the meat was outstanding......Enjoy!!!!!

CHRISTMAS-2008

This page I created today - is me and my hubby standing in front of the Christmas tree. Believe it or not it is the only picture that I have. LOL.....we are usually the picture taker's. So this is the only one that I had to scrapbook. My hair looks like I just came in from a wind storm and he is looking at me. Oh well, it's us. All the lettering was cut out using the slice machine and the paper again is brazzill.........Enjoy!!

P..S. I made the border around our picture out of the left over cardstock I used to cut the lettering out of just to make it have some bling. Sorry the picture looks yellow, I don't know what happen to my camera.

I'VE BEEN BUSY

I just wanted to post on top of all what I have done in the last couple of days. When you go down and look at the scrapbook pages that I have been doing, you might have to click on the older post button, because I think I have done 10 page the last two days, but I want you to look at all of them, and not just what is on this first page. And once again, please tell me what you think.

Hugs, Ellen

HAPPY 7TH ANNIVERSARY

This is a page I whipped together today (Monday 1/12/09). It was our 7th Wedding Anniversary. We always go to Chili's on our anniversary and on the day of our Wedding that is where we went. We love eating there and so when a special day comes up that is where we go out. I used once again brazzil paper for background and lettering. Using my Slice to cute the lettters out. Then I used that white pen just to highlight it some and to do my journaling.
Enjoy, and please let me know what you think.

MY B-DAY 2008

My last birthday was in August, 2008. Our friend Paul worked for a company that was on television all the time. He surprised me and sang me Happy Birthday on TV while they were broadcasting live. I was so excited and it made me feel really good. All the cut out letters are from the Slice and the pictures of course I cut out.

I once again used brazzil paper for the background and the lettering.

Enjoy, and let me know what you think?

FLORIDA FAMILY/FRIENDS ALBUM

This is some friends of ours that live in St. Petersburg, FL. We all met one morning and had breakfast at a restaurant called Tiffany's. The food was good but not as good as the company, not saying they had bad food or nothing. The baby his name is Damian and at the time is was 9 months old. Drew is holding him in the upper left hand side and the other two is Damian's Dad Chris. Once again, brazzil paper, and things cut out of the slice. I just love the slice.

Enjoy, please tell me what you think!!!

ANOTHER PAGE FOR MY WONDERS & BEAUTIES ALBUM

This is another page that I complete today (Monday 1/12/09), just misc. pictures that I had taken of purdy stuff that I came upon. Of course, I used the brazzil cardstock and that wonderful pen from my scrapbook store. The upper 1st and 2nd picture is of a Rooster that we came across at a garage sale down in Arizona, I have never seen a Rooster this pretty. The picture that is to the right, that the lights are glaring off of...is a sunflower that we found in a field of weeds and it just stood out like something from Heaven, so we couldn't pass up taking a picture of that. Then the last one, was when we were out driving somewhere in Arizona and was the prettiest rainbow I had ever seen, I didn't think after taking the picture that it would show up in the photo but it did and I was very thankful. So this page here will go in my Wonders and Beauties of Life scrapbook when it gets to be where I am. LOL

Enjoy!!! Let me know what you think.

WONDER'S AND BEAUTIES OF LIFE

This page I did, is brazzil card stock (don't you just love that stuff), the pictures was taken since we have been in Florida. The lazy susan flower was picked by my hubby and given to me one day recently, he is always doing stuff like that. It was just so beautiful I had to take a picture. The other picture is what I call a lemonaid tree. The flowers are so so so beautiful, reminds me of something you would find all over in Hawaii. When you smell the flowers it smells like lemonaid, hence the reason why we call it the lemonade tree. I cut the pictures out with some zig-zag scissors, put them on the page and once again used my white pen for the journeling.
I should tell you that I started a scrapbook called "The wonders and beauties of Life", if you check out my older post you will see the page that I did saying that. This page will go in that book when I get my stuff moved from Arizona to Florida. Right now I am just putting everything in one book. But that is where this page will go. Life always has such beautiful things in it everyday and I always find the time to look at it. Little things make me so happy and finding flowers and such like this - well I just LOVE it.
So this is what I did on Sunday (1/11/09), I got six pages done, YEAHHHHHH!

SUPER BEST FRIEND

This page that I completed - is my bestfriend from Arizona. It is just different facial features that I loved. So I cropped them down and put this together. The bronze colored stickers are just stickers, they are not cute out from my Slice. Then instead of journeling with my white pen, I used a gold one, to kinda color coordinate with everything. When she see's this on here, she is probably going to cry, but that is my Cathy. Things like this effect her and I the same. Because I can just hear her saying "Wow, Ellen did a page just of me!" and I know her that she will feel so honored. But like I said the photos are some of my favorite taken one day while she was at my house in Arizona. So, Cathy, I LOVE YOU and MISS YOU terribly.

A JOURNEY WITH US....

Ok, I know you are looking at this and going "what is this?.. I'll tell you the story cuz you can't see my journeling that I did. My bestfriend in Arizona and her hubby went on an "Elvis Cruise" and she told me that she made herself a daily journel. So she could write it in everyday while she was gone. Then she kept saying "Your probably not even gonna miss me while I am gone", so I decided that I would write in a journal everyday while she was gone on what I was doing and how much I missed her while she was gone. Well low and behold, their cruise was caught up in the Hurricane Gustoff and they were kept at sea 4 extra days. Alot of prayers were said and I lit a candle for her and her hubby, cuz she always lites a candle when she prays for certain people and she is a CERTAIN person to me, so that is what I did. When I gave her this journel book and let me tell you it ended up being 35-40 pages long (with graphic and all), she was in such dis-belief, cuz no one had ever given her such a gift.
It made me and my heart feel so good because I really know that she will treasure it always. So that is the story behind these two pages. Enjoy!!!!

OUR RENTAL HOUSE

The background cardstock is Brazzil, all the lettering and swirls (Brazzil cardstock) are done on the Slice machine. The white writing that I did, is that white pen I got at the scrapbooking store here in my town, Palm Harbor, they are on my favorite blogs, check em out. I don't know what I have done before without that white pen. However I did look it is not a gel pen. Enjoy looking! If you want to know what this white pen is email at eflower@cox.net, and I'll send it to you whatever it says. Or I could go and get more and just mail them to you if you wish, just let me know.

a 2 page layout

ok, I have posted in awhile and you can tell, I put this in backwards, but you'll get it all when you read it. This is the right side of the 2 page layout. See below on what I did and how.....

This is the left side of the 2 page layout. Everything is cut out using the slice, except for the pictures of course. Then what I did around the blue swirly thing, the new scrapbooking store had these white pens, I just drew around them and it made them pop out to match the lettering. Now for the right side of the 2 page layout........

Let me know what you think! I had fun this afternoon. YEAH.......

SLICE MACHINE

Well since I am sitting in a house that we are renting and all my stamping/scrapbooking stuff is packed and still in our house in Arizona, and we are in Florida. We found a scrapbooking store and we went. I am so bored with nothing to do. Thank heaven I have a very NICE husband. I got the new Slice. And have made somethings and thought that I would post them on here, so you all could see them. This first one is one that I experimented on using the machine and ended up putting them on a 6x6 piece of paper for my loving husband, then stickled lightly over them. Hopefully the picture comes in good enough for you to see.........the word that is very shiny is love.
