Drum rollllll please, may I introduce Cathy. She is my bestfriend! She has creativity the like's of which you have never seen! I am going to start to post what she creates on my blog. I told her she needs to share what she creates and she is bashful and doesn't think no one will think what she makes is good enough. But I keep telling her that everyone will love your work. So with her permission I am now going to post her stuff on my blog, since I am in the middle of a move and all my stuff is packed up. So please leave comments as to what you think, then she can get in here and read what you all think. I think she will be surprised at the responses she will get.

So help me convince her that her stuff is really good, and she really has talent! Judge for yourself and leave your comments. Think of yourself at a craft fair or trying to create a memory of an event or just "playing around" being crafty. I haven't got the kind of talent that she does and you'll see that she sure does. Ok, so below is some of her work, that she has sent me pictures of....................but this is her right below here....................

Crafty Cathy :) I love you!!

Another by Cathy-key holder

On this Christmas present - she took cut pieces of a tree glued the pictures on and salacked(sp) over the photos, then took chain and put the two pieces together. Added the chipboard letters for KEYS and put wire in it to hold the keys. This is going to be special for the recipient, because the picture is a women (a man's mother, which passed away) and she didn't know what to get him, so she came up with this idea.

This is a close up of the top!!!

This is a close up of the bottom!!!

Wouldn't you say this girl has some talent. She can make anything look good and she has such good creativity. he he he..........i get some stuff too.....YEAH for me.

Crafts made my best friend Cathy

Ok, my friend Cathy, which I will post a picture of her is so creative, I am going to start posting some of her stuff on my blog, since I am still not able to make stuff due to being in the process of moving and all. But I have to show her stuff off, she does such neat stuff. These she got when they were white - she painted them and gussied them up for her daughter for a Christmas present. I just love the little booties :)......so this is the front and the back of them.
GOOD JOB CATHY!!!!!

PEOPLE AND LIFE

I just wanted to come here and vent.........Do you ever wonder why people treat other people like they are nothing, but yet again when you treat them the way they treat you, they get mad. I know it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. But why do people do this? They don't even know that they are pushing other people away because they can't see what they are doing. It is sad! I was always raised to treat people like you would want to be treated. I still do that to this day. I can see when people are sad, mad, happy or glad or whatever mood they are in. If I can help make their day I do. I am a people person and would so very much like for everyone to be happy. But I know that is impossible! I just can't once again figure out why people just can't see what they are doing to other people. You try, try and try and you get shoved, shoved and shoved away. I don't know about you, but you get tired of being shoved away after you have tried so many times. At the end of all of this the people that are not happy with life is going to be left all alone and maybe just maybe they will wake up but it will be too late. I am so confused on how to deal with people like this.

Any advice anyone has, please let me know.

My email is: eflower@cox.net

P.S. Thanks for letting me vent!!!!

:) - Happy Happy Joy Joy, Happy Happy Joy Joy, Happy Happy Joy Joy Joyyyyyyyy-thanks Ren and Stimpy :)

UPDATE

Well hello everyone:

I haven't posted in awhile, it's been a zoo around here. Well they have released me from Tucson, I'm free white and 21 again, LOL, well I have a few stones, but he thinks they will pass. I have been battling an urinary tract infection for 3 weeks now - trying this antiobiotic and this one and I think possibly they may have found one now finally, it is Keflex. I have now taken 6 pills and my pee is looking better, still hurts after, but I'm dealing with it.

Ok, now what is happening now is..................I know I mentioned that we are moving back home to Florida. Well it has been pack pack pack pack pack and more packing. Geez how does a person get so much stuff. We are almost done - 95% I would say. We will be leaving soon, so I will be without the internet for awhile. They don't have where we are going the internet people that we have here, so I don't know who we are going to pick. I'm very excited to get back down there, I can already smell the salty air. And just picturing myself on the beach, geez what else could I want...........Maybe perhaps a house that would be good. We thought we had a couple, but when the inspections went through, they came back really bad. So we decided just to go there and pick them ourselves and we would be able to be there for the inspection and what not. After finding a home we will then have the movers come here and get our stuff and move it down there for us. Then of course comes the un-packing, but I don't think that is as bad as packing. At all!!! We found out today, that a friend of a friend needs someplace to rent and we think we are going to rent to their family. YEAHHHHHH, cuz we can't get what we even paid for this place right now. That way MAYBE in a year or so when the housing market picks back up we could sale and get more for it then we could now. And too this person is a very trustworthy and honest person and that made me and my hubby feel so good.

Our puppies (kids) are doing good, the five days on the road, well my eyes might be crossed by the time we get there (3 puppies), they are not exactly puppies but that is what we call the group of them. We have been putting on their collars and putting out their temporary cages (for the car) and letting them play with them to try to make this transaction better.

Well I think that is all for now. We are temporarily planning on leaving the end of this month. But if the packing gets done earlier we will be leaving then.

Keep up the magnificant work on the cards and stuff that you all are making, I keep checking everyones blogs and they are all fantastic.

Hugs,

Ellen

KIDNEY STONE UPDATE

Well we just got back from Tucson today (8/12/08) from the re-check from my left kidney surgery. I'm good to go. But remembering I still have the stents in both sides. What he would like to do is, for me to go in sometime in September (hopefully the middle of) and go up and crush and suck all the kidney stones that are all ready accumulating on my right side (yep, I already had that side done before my left side and they are growing again) and then take out the stents. He said that would be done as an outpatient (YEAHHH), they will lightly put me to sleep do it and at and at it I will be, HAR HAR......We'll see!!! So that is the update for now.

We are waiting on the inspection papers for our house in Florida, the inspector is really slow and we have to have it before Friday(8/15/08) because that is when our 10 days are up and we don't want to lose the earnest money we put down. So my hubby is on the loose and not making people very happy right now. The inspector has had over a week now and we still don't have the report. I'm trying to think "NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS" but I am beginning to wonder. So tomorrow something will happen, I just don't know what. Keep your fingers crossed.

You all keep making beautiful stuff, as I get the time I go and look at it all and you all still amaze me with your creativity.

Hugs, Ellen

ANNOUCEMENT

Well today is August 1st, 2008. My home health aid nurse came and guess what...........after she scrapped me off the ceiling, she took off my scab and the hole is closed. So that means I can take a SHOWERRRRRRRRR all by myself. YEAHHHHH.......Still can't go swimming in our pool until after I see the surgeon on August 11th. I'm thinking about calling down there and telling him since August 15th is my birthday that he should give me that days office visit for free, do you think he'll agree? LOL So after August 11th, hopefully he is going to take out the stents that I have in both sides now and turn me lose..............Watch out world.
But what have I been doing in the mean time..........resting of course, butttttttt, been doing my exercising like I am suppose to do, and in the beginnning and shoot even right now I am sore and get tired pretty quick but it is getting easier everyday. Well here is the big butttttttt. My hubby and I am decided to move back to where we love it the most and that is FLORIDA. So my exercising in the last couple of days have been going through stuff and packing, keep or putting it in a box for a garage sale. We plan on being down there in 90 days (after 8/11/08 Doctors visit). We are currently looking at a couple of houses. The ARIZONA heat, which I know everyone tells me that it is a dry heat is so bad. Today (well right now it is 114 degrees) it is so hot. Yes it is like walking into an oven, but you can't get out. We use to live in the Hollywood, Florida area and we loved it there, but traveling, it just takes to long to get out of the state of Florida, so we agree to go on the other coast (West) and go 1/2 down, where it doesn't get to cold but yet it is warm. So we have decided on the St. Petes/Seminole/Tampa area. We really prefer Seminole, but you know how things go. I know, you are probably thinking but it is so humid there. But after living on the beach, you always have a breeze from the beach and with the humidity, yes you sweat but the breeze cools you right off. So we are excited but yet busy.

It just seemed I got my scrapbook room all organized and now I have to pack it all up. :( But we will be much happier there and I know it.

Well that is all I have for now. You all take care and I am back on here everyday checking to see what you all are creating and it looks like you all are doing a GREAT job, keep it up.

UPDATE

Well first of all, I want to THANK YOU for all the comments, cards and phone calls, that I have gotten through all of my recent surgeries. THANK YOU EVERYONE...I love the cards especially!!!

Ok, my last surgery was July 10th and it went really well. They pulled out the tube (it's like a catheter) from my back and I now have a hole in my back. They don't stitch it shut! It has to heal from the inside out. So a Home Health Agency is coming in once a week now and checking the wound site and my hubby does the daily dressing changes (thank heaven I have him). He keeps saying that he is going to send me a bill and we joke around about it quite a bit, but you have to make fun some way and that is how we are doing it. Then a aid comes in 2 times a week and helps me with a bath which is so wonderful. It is so very hot here in Phoenix you sweat like a pig and then the bandage falls off, so then my male nurse (husband) comes to my rescue again. I go back to the doctor on August 11th to see what he thinks, remembering that I have stents in both of my kidneys. I won't let him forget that. I am still weak and sore but am improving everyday now. YEAHHHHHH, but boy ole boy do I get tired quick. I was able to wash some dishes yesterday and did some exercising while at the sink. The one thing that I am having problems with now is shortness of breathe. When the nurse was here yesterday I had her listen to my lungs and she said they sound good. So she just suggested as I walk or sit take some really deep breathes so I am working on that now, but the thing of it is, is that my stomach muscle are sore from having my surgery. But hey I'm working on it.

I just wanted to get online and give an update.

You all keep making pretty stuff.............I'll be checking back as often as I can to see what everyone is doing.

Happy Day to all.

Love and miss you...........Ellen

ROUND TWO

Well we leave here this Wednesday (7/9/08) for my second surgery which is on Thursday (7/10/08), have to be there at 530am so that means I am first up to bat. YEAHHHHH! Last time I had to be there at 630am and I just sit on the bed until about 10am waiting on them to do whatever they had to do.

Ok, so let me update you on my last one. The surgery went purdy good. But the new medicine that my nephrologist put me on to stop the kidney stones from forming made me have something wrong with my heart. IT made my potassium go DANGEROUSLY high in the middle of the night and I had to sit up and drink this really nasty stuff twice. So six wonderful jugs of it. Well they forgot to tell me one thing....LOL, It give you diaherria.........OOPS........So once that hits I'm on the toilet taking care of business for six hours........... So needless to say my hubby went back to the motel and slept. While I was taking care of that business. Well they discharged me on June 26th in the pm and we came home, boy ole boy that car trip was something else. Phewww I was glad to be home. Well this catheter that I have coming out of my back is way different then the last one I had and I DO NOT like it. I have had to take a perocet just about everyday this time and last time I didn't ...........I hate to have to rely on them suckers, cuz even though I am here, my brain isn't and neither is my talking. The catheter coming out of my back is not was is hurting me, yes it does hurt but I have ALOOOOTTTTT of kidney stones in my bladder and since I am not peeing, guess what? They have decided to stay for a duration. Everytime and I mean everytime I move, those little suckers do to and well just let's say it makes you grit your teeth and curse and even makes my face makes funny faces and sweat oh heavens do I sweat. My BESTEST HUBBY in the whole wide world in the fill in nurse, he changes my bandaid's at leat 4 times a day. the home health nurses can only come out twice a week and that is not nearly enough. Oh well enough of this. I just wanted to let you know what is going on. And my second round is this coming Thursday and I am so ready for it. I am so tired of hurting, I can't even think right. So once again please pray for me again. Think happy thoughts on thursday, so I can get what I want done, LOL.........

Take care & I Love you...........Ellen

TUCSON BOUND

Well tomorrow (6/23/08) we are off to Tucson. SIGGHHHHHH. I have my surgery on 6/24/08 - I have to be there at 630am. They will insert a guide wire through my back and into my kidney. That is for the urologist which is the surgeon. They can then go down over the guide wire and go directly to my kidney and do their work. I'm hoping and praying that they will be able to get most of the stones out, but, I have to keep in the back of my mind that - that might not happen either. When I awake I will have a catheter coming out of my back - it is like a regular catheter, but it comes out of my back. They will leave this in, so in 2 weeks I'll go back again and do this all over again, until they get all these babies out of there. All through this I will be homebound and have a RN come into my house 2-3 a week and a bath lady also, she'll come 2-3 week also. I can't take a shower or bath, so she assists me getting cleaned up. I can't wash around the area, so she does it. But with the weather being like it is right now, I'm going to have to do something, cuz you HAVE to take a shower everyday cuz it is so hot. We have been averaging 115 degrees everyday for over a week now and there is no break coming either. Being at home all the time is very depressing but with all the support that I have it's ok. You get to missing going out and doing stuff, even if it is a ride in the car. (just try to ride in a car with a tube coming out of your back, believe me, it's hard) Last time, when we were coming home I leaned over and laid my head on the dashboard that is the most comfortable spot I could find. But the weather was way different then. Right now if I would do that I would be BEET red, cuz of the heat. So we'll see what will happen when I get home. So anyway, please think of me on Tuesday as I am very nervous. Pray for me too please!

I love each and everyone of you.............take care and I'll keep you updated. Hopefully when I get on my feet I'll be able to come on and see what everyone has been up to.

XOXO-------Ellen

YARD SALE (6/14/08)

We went garage sale-ing on Saturday and I almost died and thought I went to Heaven. LOL 2 garage sales with scrapbooking stuff. And the main stuff was scrapbooking. Well thanks to my hubby we got an early start and was about the first ones there. So I ended up getting some sizzix sizzlet empty containers for storage for $2.00 each. I got some stamps for $1.00 and some of them were $.25 cents. WOO HOO.......It was a stampin' up consultant and a close to my heart consultant, just trying to clean out some stuff. The other garage sale I got these 2 plastic paint buckets, full and never been opened with stuff that you can make out of foam. Well I really don't like what I call foamies (foam pieces) but I thought, hey why couldn't I take the pattern off of them and make the stuff out of paper.......MMMM pretty cleaver Ideal I thought. Well I got both of them for $3.00. Each can has 4 different projects in them. So I got 8 new ideals for $3.00. YEAHHHHHH And of course, they had plenty of stickers and papers at each one of them, but I am a paper HOG.....and have to much here at home, so I didn't even look at the paper, out of sight out of mind, right????? Well I was able to pull it off in my mind anyone. LOL Anyway thought I would share on that note. Take care.........xoxo

KIDNEY ADVENTURE

Well my Left Kidney adventure will start this week. I will be in Tucson this week, seeing the nephrologist one day and the urologist the next day, with pre-admitting the same day as the urologist. I then have my left kidney surgery on June 24th. SIGHHHHHH. So I'll be laid up for awhile. But I'll try to keep an eye on what everyone is doing. But the thing is, once they start the surgery, I will have to go back every 2 weeks to have surgery again, until they are finished with what they are doing. Needless to say this will be not so good of a time to be going down there with it being 115 degrees today (Father's Day). It is suppose to keep up with those temperatures. YIKES!!!! So I am really enjoying our pool right now, cuz once the surgery starts, I won't be able to get in it no more, until they are completely finished. So after the sun goes down we are getting in the pool and enjoying every bit of it. So you all be good, I'll let you know how things progress. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY, HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY, HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY JOY. (who sings that?)

This is the card we made. You take something that she has called sticky paper A-2 for cards. She has another one that is letter sized. But sorry there was no item number of the stuff that I have but you get 50 of the A-2 size for $8.20. Then you get a 6x6 piece of lace tablecloth or a doily and place it on the sticky paper. Make sure you don't have no lumps or bumps, then sprinkle on what you want your background to be. In this one we used a goldest color. Then you pull off the piece of lace and you have whatever design that was on the lace left and you decorate according to your preference. So what you see that is kinda whites looking with a red line going through it - that is the design that we had left. So we used other glitter to fill in. Then to make the inside of the card a little pretty, she cut off about 1/4 inch of the front of the card and opened the card and put that strip on the inside of the card.....see below. Sorry the picture is sideways, but the bottom of the card is to our right - but when you close the card it looks like you did not cut it off. Like I said I feel in love with this stuff and your mind can go wild.......I have done another card, but I am sending it to someone, but after she gets it, I'll post it so you can see.

Once again her name is Barbara J. Trombley at Art Institute Glitter, Inc., website:
From what I am reading on her book that I got she does ship international, but I am sure that she has all of the information you could want on her www site. Please go and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
When we did this - you stamp on her Fantasy Film, then iron the stamped image on Satin Finish on your Iron. Let it cool, then glitter when you want glittered and the cut it out. I'm not kidding when I say this dragonfly looked real. She put it on my shoulder and I got alot of compliments. This below is on my shoulder, but we took a very up close picture, but see the different colors you see in it this time......
Still on my shoulder, picture taken at a different angle, once again - color change. The color of fantasy film I choose was the #1535 in the forest.

I love this stuff. Now I will go and post the card we made. :)

I went to a Stamping/Scrapbook show on 6/1/08 in Glendale, AZ. I feel in love with this new stuff. It is glittering stuff. Her www site is www.artglitter.com - she is in Cottonwood, AZ and will work with you over the phone if you have problems. Anyway she and I made a dragonfly made out of her fantasy film. I'll post it in a second. Then we made a card, which I'll post also. Anyway I LOVEEEEEEEE this stuff.......Here is the kits I bought.

Scrapbook Page 6/6/08

This page that I created today was not intended for this. The flowers are punched out from new punches from Creative Memories. The stems, grass, clouds, bee, ladybug and sun are diecut that I have from Sizzixs. The letters are from Joann's. I can't remember what they are called but they are chipboard and have adhesive on both sides. I glittered one side and then stuck it to the paper on the other side. Then my husband came in and suggested that the clouds, that didn't have any thing on them to put some STICKLES (silver) on them because of the saying "every cloud has it's silver lining".

The original intention for the flowers were for cards, but I couldn't get them to fit on a normal 4x5 card.

But I am very HAPPY with the results. This is the first page of my new album. Which in it will contain pictures of flowers, birds and etc., from the great outdoors. I have tons.

Hope you enjoy!!!!!!

My Scrapbook Room

This is my scrapbook room - everyone has been asking me to take pictures of it. So I have done the best that I could do. Yes I do have alot of stuff. But I have been scrapbooking for a very long time. I would have to say it has been about 20 years. Back when you didn't have anything like you do now. I've been tagged

I've been tagged!!!!

The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

1) Ten years ago: I decided to move in with my bestfriend which is now my husband. Moved from Kansas to Florida, and what a change that was. I think for the rest of the time that we lived there I got very education in simply life stuff. Stuff I never seen in Kansas, ever! Still when I sit here and think back about what I saw I still can't picture, why some people do what they do. (I'll leave it at that)

2) 5 things in todays ”to do”-list- :1. Take a shower! 2. Go through my stuff from the scrapbook show/rubberstamp show that I went to yesterday, 3. play with my puppies, 4. talk on the phone I'm good at that, 5. play with my new stuff some more......lol

3) Snacks I enjoy: Cheezits, Bob's soft peppermint candy (by my computer all the time)

4) Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Buy a house back in Florida on the beach, so I could have my own house on the beach with my own beach. Buy everything brand new for the house and have people wait on me (cook, clean, etc.) So I could lay in the sand and listen to the ocean 24/7 (there isn't anything more peaceful then that)....I miss Florida's beaches.

5) Places I have lived: Topeka, Kansas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hollywood, Florida, Dania Beach, FL, Surprise, AZ and now Phoenix, AZ

Now I am suppose to pass this along to 5-6 people, but I really don't know 5-6 people and some of the people that I know have already done this, so I am gonna send it to the ones that haven't done it............Sorry.......that's all I can do........

DID NOT GET MARKERS

I received an email yesterday stating that the markers that I thought I got a good deal on was being cancelled and my credit card was going to be refunded. They are out of stock and don't know when they will be back in. So, I'm back to NO COPIC markers..... :( :( :( Anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate any given. Thanks......

Thursday, May 22, 2008

I forgot something........

When you get to their page do not search for Copic Cias markers, it will come up with nothing found. On the left hand side of the page they are under the art supply section. Just click on that and it will take you right where you need to go...................

COPIC CIAO MARKERS

Just wanted to post this. As of today, well that is when I discovered it, thanks to HEIDI!!!!! At www.animeoc.com copic markers are on sale. They have the 72 A & B on sale each for $239.99 each, but they are out of stock. But one thing that I discovered.....he he he, if you buy the 36 A & B which is $119.99 each and then buy 36 C & D which are $92.99, it is cheaper then buying 72 A & B. So 72 A & B together is $479.98 but if you buy 72 A, B, C and D that equals $425.96. POOF.......Bargain!!! Gotta love them. If you sign up for their mailing list you get an email from them to take off 5% off of your first order, so in addition to their sale I got another 5% off........YEAHHHHHHHH, now how is a girl to pass up a bargain like that? LOL

I hope you all can go and get them as I did, the only thing is I don't know how long the sale is so you better hurry, because they are already out of the 72's.

Have a great COPIC day!!!!

Saturday, May 17, 2008

Go to Heidi Kortoggodt's blog, it is now under my favorites. She does such good work. I love those new stamps and the copic markers. I haven't got either one of them, but her work is great. Her blog is http://heidi-kortoggodt.blogspot.com/ You won't regret it. It just makes you wanna say AHHHHHHHHHHHHH :)

Rooster

We go garage sale-ing every weekend that we can and one time we went to a farm to a sale and when I seen this Rooster I quickly got out my digital camera which is usually in my purse and snapped some photo's. This is the best one. I can't hardly wait to go and make a page out of it.

My hubby and I on our Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to ussssssssss. LOL

Cathy's B-day card inside

This is what I did on the inside of the card! Real quick and easy.

4/23/08 Cathy's Birthday Card

This is the card I made for Cathy's birthday. I found these big cards at Sam's and made a copy of the Queen of Hearts, tweaked it and distressed it a little and put a saying on there "Queen of the day".....She really enjoyed it.

Ok on this card, my new technique to to cut off the front of the card 3/4 of an inch on each side. Decorate what was left on the front and then you have to decorate the inside of the card so it shows through. So the zebra lined paper is on the inside of the card not on the front cover of the card. I don't know if I will make another one of these. It took me a long time to finish.
This is the front of the Get Well card, what is new on this card is the thing that looks like a diamond, believe it or not it started out as a 3x3 piece of paper and it turned out like this. It is very easy and I will be doing these again. I'm trying new techniques, well at least new to me. This card was quick and easy.
This is the inside of the Get well card I made for a friend of mine that recently found out she has cancer again and has to go through chemo again!

Here is another one tag I made at Christmas! But I live in Arizona, I don't think (I hope) it will snow here.....lol

Hello

I'm new at this but I have been on here since June, 2007 and love to look at several peoples blogs. Yes I have my favorites and look at them everyday. I primarily scrapbook but on occassion make cards. I will try to post stuff as I get things created. I am presently going through all my scrapbooking stuff (have tons of it) and trying to weed out stuff that I haven't used for awhile. So if there is something you need holler, I probably have it. I'll try to take picture of my scrapbooking room as it was the family room.
